The 8 p.m. show follows up last year's debut of the cabaret experience in Ringwood, organizer Fran Giannini Leonardis said. The event will benefit Cabaret Cares, a non-profit for children with HIV or AIDS.
Leonardis started cabaret performances five years ago and wanted to use her passion to help others.
"I figured I'm a housewife from New Jersey so I'm going to see what I can do," she told Daily Voice, "and I wound up going back every week."
Diana Roth-Fili, fellow coordinator from St. Catherine, said they aim to provide a unique setting in a stress-free atmosphere during Valentine's Day weekend.
"We make a beautiful event out of it," Roth-Fili said. "You don't really feel like you're in a parish center at all. It becomes a very intimate setting."
The Ringwood parish at 112 Erskine Road also makes for an easier trip to see a cabaret show compared to a trek to New York, Leonardis said.
Leonardis said around 100 people attended last year during a snowy night. They're hoping for better weather this time, she said.
Tickets are $90 per couple and include dinner and the show. Guests can bring their own drinks.
